PARSLEY HEALTH

UI/UX | RESPONSIVE DESIGN | CROSS PLATFORM (DESKTOP, IPAD, MOBILE, SMARTWATCH)

Parsley Health is a telemedicine healthcare company that takes a holistic approach to health by finding and correcting the root cause of their patient’s problems. They focus on preventative care and the reversal of chronic disease by building good habits to create and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

While they have a patient portal for communication and accessibility of medical data, they lack an application to help their patients transition to their treatment plan and stick to it. The solution is to create a Treatment Log application that allows patients to stick to the routine that their medical team has created for them.

USER PAIN POINTS

  1. Patients struggle to keep track of and complete daily goals of their treatment plan and establish a routine.

  2. Users struggle to find the information they need about this type of healthcare. What it is, how it is different, and if it is safe and effective.

  3. Health coaches and patients are annoyed when there is a lack of communication.

  4. Patients become disheartened when they don’t see progress from their treatment plan.

  5. Patients want access to their medical data.

SOLUTIONS

  1. Create a Treatment Log application to allow patients to track and log their daily goals. A visual representation of their goals will increase the chance of completing them. Create a Reminders page on the main tab for patients to alert patients of any incomplete daily goals, giving them a push to complete them.

  2. Restructure their home page informational hierarchy to emphasize the science behind their approach, their medical teams, what they treat, and that they are telemedicine. This information addresses the pain points surrounding holistic health (is it safe, trustworthy, and effective). Addressing these pain points creates trust with the user and increases user engagement and interest.

  3. Create a simple Messaging System with a Messages page on the main tab for the patient and health coaches to contact each other and see previous message threads. This creates a support system for patients to get the help they need quickly and access previous conversations.

  4. Create a Symptom Log and Analytics page on the main tab to show the progress of their symptoms over time. Medical teams will have access to this data and the ability to adjust treatment plans accordingly. This type of healthcare is not a quick fix; it takes time to heal, see, and feel progress. Keeping track of symptoms and seeing that data will encourage patients to stick to their treatment plan.

  5. Create a Treatment Plan page on the main tab for accessibility and transparency of the patient’s treatment plan (name, frequency, what it is, and how it helps them). With this, patients will have full access to their health.
